AbstractInterface migration sequencing is often based on technical complexity, although migration stability depends on hidden dependencies, architectural readiness, and the consequences for business processes. This study proposes the DIRS model, which integrates dependency mapping, residual risk assessment, and migration priority selection. The model separates migration admissibility from migration sequencing: the dependency map identifies interdependent components, architectural gates prevent the migration of unprepared groups, and business impact determines the order among the admitted clusters. The analytical application demonstrated that the same position in the dependency graph does not imply the same priority. DIRS links dependency information with the migration admission decision and the resulting migration wave while preserving a separate path for components requiring further preparation. The model is intended for SAP landscapes and other enterprise integration environments undergoing phased migration. Its rules prevent the inclusion of unprepared critical interfaces and make the rationale for each decision available for verification before development and production deployment. The proposed scales and thresholds are normative in nature; their application requires documented assessments and adaptation to the conditions of a specific organization.
